Our Story:
Built on a Family Legacy
Cocono was born in Mouscron, Belgium, within a family active in carpet craftsmanship for over 35 years. Founder Marine Hanet grew up surrounded by carpet making, not as an abstract industry, but as a way of understanding quality. She learned early that the pieces worth keeping are the ones built with care, precision, and respect for materials.
From that foundation, Cocono took shape with a clear intention: to create rugs designed to endure, not just physically, but visually. Pieces that remain relevant as interiors evolve. Pieces that are lived with, moved from home to home, and never feel out of place.
Rooted in Belgian textile expertise, Cocono translates heritage into contemporary interiors. The collections are defined by balanced proportions, refined textures, and a warmth that does not rely on trends. From calm neutrals to expressive compositions, each design is developed with longevity in mind: in material, in construction, and in aesthetic.
Cocono stands for rugs meant to last. Not as decoration, but as lasting elements within a space.

Our Craft:
Woven & Finished in Belgium
Cocono rugs are woven on precision industrial looms and expertly finished in Belgium.
Made in Belgium, every detail from weaving to finishing respects the standards of luxury craftsmanship.
From binding to backing, each stage follows the discipline of professional carpet manufacturing, ensuring consistency, durability, and comfort.
Our Process: From Surplus Yarns to unique creations
At Cocono, creation begins where others stop.
We work exclusively with surplus yarns originally produced for luxury interiors, not leftovers in quality, only in quantity. These materials were created for designer carpets, wall textiles, and high-end upholstery.
Each yarn is sorted by fiber, color, and thickness to build refined palettes for our collections. Wool, viscose, Tencel, polyamide blends, selected for their performance, texture, and visual depth.
We never re-dye or order new threads. Instead, availability guides design, allowing material constraints to shape creative direction. This results in small-batch production and pieces that are naturally limited by the materials at hand.
Expertly woven and finished in Belgium, every item is perfected down to its binding, backing, and finishing, ensuring both beauty and longevity.
Our Values:
Design with intention
At Cocono, every decision begins with longevity.
We believe true luxury is not excess, but intention: choosing materials carefully, designing with balance, and creating pieces that remain relevant over time.
Material integrity → we work with high-grade yarns selected for their strength, comfort, and durability.
Thoughtful construction → each piece is developed with proportion and performance in mind, ensuring it feels as good as it looks.
Timeless design → we create rugs and interior pieces that integrate naturally into contemporary spaces, without relying on trends.
Responsible production → rooted in Belgian textile expertise, our collections are developed with respect for craft, knowledge, and long-term value.

Rather than chasing what is new, Cocono focuses on what lasts.

Meet Marine:
Founder & Creative Vision
Marine founded Cocono with a deep appreciation for textiles and interiors. Growing up around carpet production shaped her understanding of quality, but her interest has always extended beyond technique, toward how a space feels.
As Cocono evolved, so did its collections. What began with rugs naturally expanded into poufs, wall pieces, and textile accents, creating a more complete interior language.
Marine is drawn to textures that age beautifully, colors that bring warmth without overwhelming a room, and pieces that feel timeless rather than temporary.
For her, interiors should feel composed, lived-in, and enduring.
