Behind the Threads: Marine’s Story
My journey with Cocono began in January 2024, inspired by a deep-rooted connection to textiles, craftsmanship, and design. Growing up in Mouscron, Belgium, I was surrounded by creativity and artistry, and from an early age I developed a passion for colors, materials, and the beauty of interiors.
Over the years, this love of art and home design evolved into a desire to create pieces that were both aesthetically refined and environmentally responsible. The turning point came when I designed my first rug using surplus yarns - premium threads left unused, yet rich in quality and character.
That experiment sparked the vision for Cocono: a brand dedicated to sustainable rugs and handcrafted home objects, made from what remains, to create what lasts.
Today, Cocono is a collective effort with a team of manufacturers and designers, united by the belief that sustainability and beauty go hand in hand.
Each rug or home object we create is unique, timeless, and rooted in a philosophy of upcycling and conscious living.
My hope is that these pieces bring joy, inspiration, and meaning to your home, just as they continue to do in mine.
