Coral Reef Rug
The Coral Reef Rug is a wool and silk designer rug created for contemporary interiors that seek texture, depth, and quiet expression. Crafted from a premium blend of natural wool and silk, it combines durability with a subtle luminous finish that enhances movement across its surface.
Inspired by the layered complexity of coral formations, this contemporary area rug explores colour and texture in a more expressive way. Each shade, coral pink, violet, turquoise, and amber, interacts like light beneath water, shifting gently depending on the angle and time of day. The silk threads catch the light, while the wool grounds the composition with structure and resilience.
The result is a textured wool and silk rug that feels alive without being overwhelming. It anchors a living room or bedroom with character, yet remains balanced enough for modern European interiors built around architectural calm.
To live with Coral Reef is to introduce a sense of quiet movement into your space. It is a reminder that depth often exists beneath the surface, and that thoughtful design invites us to pause, observe, and appreciate detail.
Crafted in Belgium with high-quality yarns, this timeless rug is built to last 10 to 20 years. The wool provides strength and comfort underfoot, while the silk enhances refinement and visual richness.
Perfect for:
– Wool and silk living room rugs
– Contemporary textured interiors
– Modern statement area rugs
– Expressive yet balanced European homes
– High-quality designer rugs built to last
The Coral Reef Rug is not trend-driven. Its organic structure and layered colour palette create a timeless foundation that evolves with your interior over time.
Available in multiple sizes for modern layouts and open-plan spaces.
DESCRIPTION
Coral Reef - “A hidden living world”
The Coral Reef rug was inspired by the secret life unfolding beneath the waves - a world that exists without us, glowing and alive in its own rhythm. It’s a tribute to the mystery of the ocean’s heart, where corals rise like living sculptures and color becomes its own language.
Woven in Belgium from wool and silk, and crafted with sustainable leftover yarns, this round rug translates that underwater world into texture and movement.
Each shade - coral pink, violet, turquoise, amber - echoes the pulse of the reefs, their light shifting and flickering.
To live with Coral Reef is to bring that unseen beauty into your home - a reminder that even when you don’t necessarily see it, the world keeps creating and we need to take more moments to stop and appreciate it.

SUSTAINABILITY
Sustainable Belgian rug made from leftover yarns & unique eco-friendly design with tree planted in Congo for every purchase
This rug was crafted using leftover yarns sourced from another Belgian factory - materials that would otherwise have been gone to waste. By transforming these surplus threads into design pieces, Cocono reduces waste while creating something both unique and lasting.
We’re also proud to partner with Go Forest: for every rug sold, a tree is planted in Congo. In this way, each Cocono rug not only brings beauty into your home but also contributes to reforestation and a healthier planet.

Rug care and maintenance guide for long-lasting color and texture
We advise you to vacuum the rug once or twice a week with a normal (upright or cylinder) vacuum cleaner but without the brush or beater bar engaged.
In order to avoid ‘regular use marks’, we advise you to turn the rug every once in a while. Wet stains need to be removed immediately, before the yarn absorbs the fluid. Absorb the stain using a strong absorbing paper (like kitchen paper). Do not, in any case, rub or put pressure on the rug when wet. This can damage the fibers and the structure of the rug. Please do not use highly acidic cleaning agents to remove stains from your rug. This will cause discoloration of the yarn.
Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve color.
